Secretary Sanders Issues Seething Message to Democrats Over ‘Schumer Shutdown’

Thanks to the obstructionist Democrats, the United States government was officially shut down after Democrats and Republicans were unable to reach an agreement on Friday.

Democrats do not want to take responsibility for the first shut down since 2013 and have labeled it the “Trump Shutdown,”

Sen. Chuck Schumer tried to deflect his part in the shut down by blaming President Trump, saying that no one “deserves the blame for the position we find ourselves in more than President Trump.”

Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders laid into the Democrats on Twitter, saying that the Democrats in the Senate “own” the shutdown and that politics were more important than our nation:

Tonight, they put politics above our national security, military families, vulnerable children, and our country’s ability to serve all Americans. We will not negotiate the status of unlawful immigrants while Democrats hold our lawful citizens hostage over their reckless demands.

The Press Secretary pointed out that it is not the behavior of legislators but of “obstructionist losers.”

Sanders said that negotiations on immigration reform will be reopened when Democrats “start paying our armed forces and first responders.

The press secretary ended her powerful statement by announcing that during the “politically manufactured” shutdown, President Trump and his administration “will fight for and protect the American people.”

Prior to the shutdown, Sanders speculated on Twitter writing that if Democrats were “so desperate” they’ll shut down the government since they can’t “shut down the booming Trump economy.”
